To be more accurate it was a Wednesday Night Fever 🥲
(aaand said fever probably originated from Mr LouBou stressing over the spurs champions league score).
Last night I was invited to the press night as Saturday Night Fever returns to MK for a weeklong run.
I’m racking my brains to remember the last time Saturday Night Fever was on tour at Milton Keynes Theatre but coming up with nada. I remember the show though and how the infectious music and dance had my toes tapping, whilst more serious tones made me sad.
Its based on the infamous John Travolta film (which btw I still haven’t seen!) BUT of course I knew the suit, the moves and the music. Although Airplane! is where the best images of SNF are. 😂
Saturday Night Fever is a spectacular dance and music show. Expect to be blown away by their grooves. Jack Wilcox, Rebekah Bryant and the the disco dancers make the big numbers look incredible and far too much of a breeze, which going by my attempts when I left the theatre I can assure you, are most definitely not!
The story itself sits in the background but when it surfaces it sure does leave its mark. 🥲
Come see it for leading man Jack Wilcox as Tony Manero who is dynamite on the dance floor, bop along for the Bee Gees and their iconic songs and stay for Faizal Jane’s beautiful DJ vocals.
Saturday Night Fever is the disco you want to be at. 🕺🏻
Saturday Night Fever is at Milton Keynes Theatre Monday 5 – Saturday 10 September 2022
Tickets were kindly gifted by Milton Keynes Theatre but they have zero control over what I post, or say about the performance – that’s all me! Thank you for your support. 🖤
