UK & Ireland 70th Anniversary Tour of Agatha Christie’s murder mystery is here
The world’s longest running play is playing in Milton Keynes this week.
Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap has been going 70 years! But thankfully (for my bum at least) it doesn’t mean I have to dedicate 70 years sat on my tush trying to figure out whodunnit.
In a very smooth 2 hours 20 minutes (including interval) I was thrown into the thicker than the snow drifts outside Monkswell Manor murder mystery that is The Mousetrap.
And there is snowdrifts, and at Monkswell Manor everyone is snowed inside and there has been a murder and anyone could be responsible. So, who is it?!

Well, you bet I am keeping the secret of whodunnit. And I’ve gotta say I’m super impressed. I love being sleuthy, I adore mysteries and I would like to think I’m good at figuring out plots and guilty parties really fast – but – gosh darn it – NOT in The Mousetrap!
The Mousetrap keeps you guessing. Every few minutes there was a new clue or something that fired up a different theory and then poof, something else would happen that would throw you completely off the scent.
The cast which includes Todd Carty (Grange Hill, Eastenders, The Bill) and Catherine Shipton (Casualty) absolutely kill it. You know what I mean. They’re brilliant and the whole play makes for a fabulously entertaining night at the theatre. It’s funny, it’s tense, it’s mysterious. It’s easy to see why The Mousetrap has been around for 70 years. I hope it stays around for 70 more.
The Mousetrap is at Milton Keynes Theatre Monday 22 – Saturday 27 May 2023

Tickets were kindly gifted by Milton Keynes Theatre but they have zero control over what I post, or say about the performance – that’s all me! Thank you for your support. 🖤
